SubscribeEvery year Jump-Start Performance Co. celebrates it's anniversary with a big blowout Performance Party on the first Saturday in January. The company and dozens of artists get together and put on a 4 to 5 hour show filled with dance, music, performance art, comedy, video, fire-eating, glamour, and the absurd. This year the Performance Party is going global with "24 Hours 24 Artists" - a marathon webcast featuring performers from all over the world. It all starts at 9:30 PM CST on Friday, January 2nd. Company member Michael Verdi will kick things off at 24hours24artists.com and then turn the broadcast over to another artist every hour until it all gets wrapped up live on the Jump-Start stage during the Performance Party on Jan. 3rd.
24 Hours 24 Artists will include artists from around the world: USA (including Chicago, Los Angeles, New Orleans, native Alaska and many others), UK, Colombia, El Salvador, France, Australia, Canada and Costa Rica with other world artists joining the roster daily. The participating artists work in a variety of media including video, performance, blogging, theatre, virtual worlds, online video, machinima, and more.
